WATER & WHEAT GRASS
While I can’t commit to becoming a vegan, a vegetarian or even a pescetarian (fish only), I can commit to drinking more water and daily doses of wheatgrass. It makes total sense, if you eat crap, you’ll feel like crap, right? So to balance my bad eating (and drinking) habits I’ll start by incorporating both. Seems simple enough. However after a bit of internet research I realize not so. Fresh wheatgrass or flash frozen, alkaline or reverse osmosis water. The water industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and of course most studies are supported or backed by company’s pushing their “type” of water. Some studies read like medical journals but most are thinly disguised marketing tools. I found reading the “water experts” on yelp much more entertaining and just as informative.
I must pick up my daughter in an hour so after weighing my options, I go with my guts and commit to tossing out my morning cup of Java for a swig of FRESH green juice and to wash it down with Alkaline water bought at a local store LIVING WATER in Culver City for $2 a gallon. Healing isn’t cheap but neither is cancer.
